We do what we do because we love partnering with God’s design in farming and health!
We strive to raise the most nutrient dense healing foods and we see, taste, and feel the difference. It might “sound gross” but we have seen a difference in the organs or chickens raised differently then ours, even the hearts of our chickens are stronger, a healthier color, and even a healthier size!
The breed of chickens most of us farmers raise for eating is a quick growing bird prone to all sorts of health issues. Our chickens, due to the lack of stress in their environment, the abundant access to fresh green grass and bugs every day, and a certified chemical free non GMO soy free feed all have something to do with the quality and flavor of our birds. We are delighted with the outcome of this labor of love and hard effort. Our whole family pitches in to raise these superfoods and we are so honored to “be a part of your family” as you choose to spend hard earned money investing in your family’s health and well-being. The immediate and longterm nutritive benefits of eating pasture raised, high quality meat is incredible. It is wortht he investment!

Farmers Update: Possibly our craziest cow ever?
After nearly 18 years of operating our small family farm you can sometimes feel like things are all good and set. Well, one of our beautiful heifers had her first calf and her aggressive flame was fanned. Charging, chasing, bucking. pushing gates over/open, but thankfully no official trampling ensued. Man, woman, child, anyone! 🙂
It definitely spiced up our morning routine and unfortunately as it is she will have to be moved on. Due to the amount of visitors, customers and small children we have on the farm we have to make tough choices for extreme caution.
She did teach us a few lessons though. One is the incredible strength and agility every cow has. Thankfully for the most part all of our cows are docile, easy to herd, and willing to go with the flow. It almost shocked me to see her acting like a mad cow but I realized every cow has that ability! And being careful and cautious (especially with new mamas) is always a good plan. Don’t turn your back, keep yourself strong, and look them in the eye, we are dominate in the situation but they are bigger so it is kind of scary! 🙂 So thankfully I had pretty much a brick wall between me and the cow most of the time (aka my brother)! 😉
